This directory is from one of our older books so it combines Napa and Sonoma in one list, helpful for the visitor because they often don't know quite where the winery is. Key to the Tasting Fees: $ Free to Modest, $0-$5.$$ Average, $10-$15. $$$ Serious, $20-$30.$$$$ Very Serious, over $30-$50.$$$$$ Pricey, usually including a tour & food pairing or seminar, over $50 and up. Prices normally reflect the cost of the bottles of wine being opened and poured during the tasting. CWP – Complimentary With Purchase,PIE – Purchase Is Expected, at very small wineries in lieu of a tasting fee. This PIE designation is our opinion, not the wineries. Appointment Instant - Regulations require an appointment, but they are often open to you dropping in and setting up the appointment right then and there. TF - Tasting Fee,Hrs - Hours,TR - Tasting Room, as compared to a winery site.
